The Online Signature PIN is a 10-digit designated PIN issued by the IRS used to sign employment tax returns electronically. The Online Signature PIN authenticates that you are the IRS authorized signer when the return is submitted to the IRS electronically. Authorized signers enter the 10-digit PIN in lieu of a “wet” or actual signature to sign electronically filed employment tax returns using IRS-approved software.
