New Tax Season, New Features: What's Changing with efile4Biz.com

You know the expression, “Form over function”? Here at efile4Biz.com, it’s not one or the other, but both. In fact, what makes e-filing so fast and efficient is our combination of online forms and time-saving functionality.

The next tax-filing season may seem a long way off, but our team is in full planning and development mode. Halfway through the year and we’re already reviewing the newest IRS tax forms, as well as refining the website to streamline your 1099 and W-2 tax filing even further.

Here’s a sneak peek at a few of the updates in progress for next season:

New Forms

Forms 1095-B and 1095-C (and transmittals 1094-B and 1094-C) for ACA reporting – Beginning January 2016, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Employer Shared Responsibility Rule will require employers to file annual information returns with the IRS and provide employee statements with certain health plan coverage information. This new reporting requirement is in addition to capturing healthcare costs on W-2s. It affects health insurance companies and businesses with 50 or more employees (along with payroll companies if you outsource this reporting function).

New Functionality

More options to import tax data into your account – Last year we introduced API-based integration with the popular accounting apps, QuickBooks (QB) and Xero. For 2016, we’ll continue to partner with some of the leading cloud-accounting programs. We’re putting the finishing touches on these arrangements and will keep you posted. In the meantime, you can look forward to importing 1099-MISC payer, recipient and payment data – automatically and instantly – from more of the apps you already use to run your business.

Easier tax filing in more ways than one

Keep in mind that each of these features is above and beyond those you already rely on at efile4biz.com, including:

  • Easy navigation
  • Quick completion of multiple forms
  • Checking out forms in “batches”
  • Filtering selection of forms to view or print later
  • Making edits and corrections after you check out
  • Tracking when e-filed forms are accepted by the IRS or SSA
  • Filing 1099 corrections

You’ll be hearing more from us in the coming months. Until then, be sure to bookmark efile4biz.com to connect to the newly updated website when filing your 2015 1099s and W-2s.
